It is preferable to use a needle when embroidering with a blunt point . This means you won't puncture either your finger or the fabric. Very nice, right? Embroidery needles have almost no thickening at the eye, which allows the needle to slide easily through the fabric.

Would you like to test which size needle you like best? Choose a set with multiple needle sizes. This way you can try different sizes. Or choose a specific size immediately. I prefer size 22 or 24, which are great for free embroidery! The higher the needle number, the thicker the needle and larger the eye. So size 24 is the smallest needle, number 14 the largest.
