What is Gouache?
Gouache is an opaque watercolor, so the paint remains water-soluble. You can reactivate the paint on your palette with water. The paint dries very nicely, velvet-like, which makes this material unique.
Both Holbein and Winsor & Newton gouache consist largely of pigments. The difference between these brands? Holbein's gouache is slightly more 'flowing' than Winsor's. Both gouaches are made for the artist and of the best quality.
