YES, YES, YES they're online! Dips on the dinky dips, haha yes I know: lame! It feels like a victory that the dinky dips are online. I first spent countless hours and days looking for jars. After I found the first jar, I started looking for the small jars. That was a bit more difficult! My goodness, I was so glad I found them! Okay, I think two months had passed by now. And in those two months I had found pots.
I couldn't imagine drilling hundreds of holes, at least straight holes. Anyone can drill holes, but this job obviously had to be a bit more precise. So I went to request a quote from two furniture makers. So in hardware stores you are not taken seriously as a woman, but apparently not at all at a furniture maker. It happens so often: Paul comes with me to a hardware store (often to do some shopping :p) and when you ask something the store staff always talks to PAUL! Phew, so if you work at a hardware store: just focus on the woman when she asks for something ;). The first furniture maker literally sent me an email saying: 'it costs €***, I would like to hear whether you agree with this'. Without specification or something. Haha, yeah right. And the second furniture maker really liked it, said: that would be very expensive and never sent a quote. Then I was done with the furniture makers in my area.
Then came the next dilemma, how am I going to make them myself? I needed a good drill and the pots both have a very specific size. What now?! The standard drills make ugly holes, so I looked for good drills that also went per millimeter. Yes, I bought very specific *EXPENSIVE* drills for the Dinky dips. But I did find the perfect drills, I was completely happy ;). I was definitely completely happy about it for a few days. I tested the drills on a hard piece of wood and the holes turned out exactly as I expected. When I started drilling a hole in pine wood, the following dilemma arose. Spruce wood was absolutely not suitable for this work.
Two weeks ago I went looking for wood and found the last piece of the puzzle! I found beautiful wood and with the help of my father-in-law we finished the Dinky Dips in one day. I'm a happy egg.

The end result!
I'm so excited about it! All Dinky Dips are individually made by hand. I have now made two different versions, one with 4 small pots and one for a larger pot. I don't rule out that there will be more versions in the shop, for now these two items.
What are those Dinky Dips actually for?
You can easily mix small amounts of ink in the Dinky Dips. So are you going to work with gouache or are you going to dilute an ink? With a pipette you can easily dose some ink and water together. This means you don't have to make a large amount of ink right away. The small cups fit both a small brush tip and a calligraphy pen.
Do you have any questions? Please put them in the comments!
