Winsor & Newton do not compromise on quality. The principle behind their Professional Watercolors is: to offer artists the best range of watercolors, with a large and well-matched color spectrum. When making the watercolor, the properties of the chosen pigment are carefully considered. Each color of paint has its own recipe! In addition, Winsor & Newton uses single pigments as much as possible, for the clearest and purest colors.
The complete watercolor series consists of 96 colors. This set contains 12 colors that form a fine basis for watercolors. Each tube contains 5 ml of paint. Handy: you can also put paint from the tube in a mixing palette and then let it dry. Then you can use this paint in the same way as a cup. This paint is also available per tube.
Winsor Lemon Yellow, Winsor Yellow, Winsor Red, Alizarine Crimson, French Ultramarine, Winsor Blue (green Shade), Permanent Sap Green, Yellow ocher, Burnt Siena, Burnt Umber, Ivory Black, Chinese White
In 1832, Winsor & Newton introduced the very first ready-to-use paint in pans. That was a true revolution for that time! For this, painters mixed their own paints with pigments. Now all they had to do was use a wet brush. Shortly after the launch of the blocks of paint, Winsor & Newton created the first Artists water color in tubes. This water color slowly grew into a great favorite among artists.
