If you love calligraphy you've probably seen the stunning Ziller ink in my shop. This acryl based ink is ideal for (calligraphy) pen tips. Time to talk about them a bit more!
Ziller is a family business from people with a real passion for beautiful writing and calligraphy. The Ziller inks belong in the shop with Splendith, they are great for calligraphy.
The Ziller inks contain a high concentration of pigments, which makes them very opaque. Even on dark paper the colors will show up perfectly. All of the inks are pH-balanced, lightfast and waterproof. Therefore the ink is ideal to use, for example, on envelopes! The undiluted ink formula is similar to gouache when it's dried. You can also think it with some (distilled) water for a less opaque effect. Because of the wide opening of the jar you can easily pick up the ink with a straight penholder as well as an oblique penholder.
How to use Ziller ink?
It's important to stir the ink really well before using it. Some colors you have to mix more than others. You can create more colors by mixing the Ziller inks. You can do this with an empty ink jar or in the dinky dips from my shop. After the use, clean your pen tip right away with some water and possibly with some ammonia. You can also clean your brushes with a brush cleaner.

Other Ziller products
Is your Ziller ink too thin for your chosen paper? Or do you think the ink flows out of your nib too fast? Add some drops of the Ziller Thickener and give the ink the consistency that works for you! You can use this thickener in combination with acrylic inks, it's lightfast and waterproof. The product is very economical in use: you usually only need a few drops to give your ink the right thickness!
Ziller also created a pen cleaner for pigmented acryl inks and other calligraphy inks. This makes it easer to clean your used nibs. To remove dried ink from your calligraphy nib, soak the nibs in the pen cleaner for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Repeat these steps if necessary. Dry the nibs completely after cleaning.
You can find the inks here in the shop.
